This week's teacher spotlight is Lisa Hillis. Mrs. Hillis is a Gentry High School graduate and teaches the next generations of Pioneer graduates in her role as a third grade teacher. We congratulate the Gentry Pioneers on a great regular football season, finishing with an impressive 9-2 overall record and 5-2 in conference play, earning third place behind Elkins and Gravette. The Pioneers ended the regular season with a hard-fought 31-14 loss to the Gravette Lions, who pulled away in the second half in a competitive game. Congratulations to the Lions on the win and a great season. The Gentry Pioneers head into the playoffs as the third seed and will play at DeWitt on November 15 at 7 p.m. Go Pioneers!

Mrs. Chenault, GMS Library Media Specialist, conducted investigations with students in her library last week. Students were given a Halloween themed crime scene. They had to collect, process, and analyze evidence to figure out who committed the crime. Mrs. Chenault makes learning fun!
